SEO New Year's Resolution

As the end of 2008 is nearly upon us. Maybe it’s worth planning your SEO resolutions for 2009. A great motivational stats tool is Google Analytics you can compare days, weeks, months or even years with past dates. With it’s recent update you now have the ability to see the increase or decrease via a percentage. As a company we use two website stats packages Awstats and Google Analytics to give us a wider view on traffic.

If you have a website then you should have access to the stats program either from you’re web design company or SEO company. Set yourself targets on what you want to achieve. It’s better to have achievable targets then difficult ones.

Don’t concentrate on increasing hits by 100′s per day try months instead. Have a re-think of the keywords your website targets. Do the selected keywords bring traffic? If not you could spend months targeting the wrong keywords with no traffic. If the website is new try targeting low competition keywords with sufficient traffic don’t go for big keywords like “DKNY” break this down “ladies dkny watches stainless steel” you will see faster results this way and you wont get annoyed or fustrated. While you do target the low competition keywords still continue building authority to the big keywords.

As it’s nearly Christmas we would like to give you a free gift, we are offering 3 SEO reports for either e-commerce or brochure websites. All we ask is you contact us through the contact form. The email the reports will be sent is to the domain email. Sorry no free email accounts i.e. Google, Hotmail, Yahoo. This stops people benifiting from our work.
