Goodbye Yahoo Site Explorer & Linkdomain

If you’re familiar with SEO then you’ll be familiar with using Yahoo! Site Explorer and Linkdomain to find a websites backlinks. Unfortunately the end is near for this service; the reason being why Yahoo! is pulling this service is the expense of maintaining such a web index.

Currently no other service offers such a competitive link intelligence which could possibly hinder SEO for the foreseeable future. Hopefully the functionality offered by Bing Webmasters Tools will be a solution to this problem.

  1. Backlinks can in fact become a worthwhile advantage and help out in off site search engine optimisation. Have you ever noticed back links result in a harmful affect on search engine rankings? And do you know if there is a way to know when Google Adwords is better than search engine optimization? I myself am part of many small online businesses and as a matter of fact operate a link building company. Yet, I sometimes see it helpful to use paying per click compared to building links.
